Fran Bow is a captivating adventure game that delves into the haunting story of a young girl named Fran, who grapples with a mental disorder and an unjust fate.

The narrative begins with Fran witnessing the tragic and enigmatic murder of her dismembered parents within the confines of their home. Fueled by fear, she flees into the ominous woods accompanied solely by Mr. Midnight, a black cat lovingly bestowed upon her by her departed parents.

As darkness sets in, Fran succumbs to the shock of her parents' demise. When she awakens from her traumatized state, she finds herself trapped within Oswald Asylum—a dreary mental institution that preys on the vulnerable minds of children. Overwhelmed by grief and confusion, Fran discovers that Mr. Midnight is nowhere to be found.

Inspired by a haunting dream featuring her beloved feline companion, Fran resolves to escape from the asylum's oppressive grip in pursuit of reuniting with Mr. Midnight and returning to the care of Aunt Grace—the sole surviving relative in her life.
